At least we are ahead
Chase Daniels has been calling for Miami to run the RPO all night. I guess eventually he may be right.
What do we have 3 points on our two defensive turnovers?
Defense is playing their asses off and delivering the game of the year for them and the offense just is not showing up at all.
It’d be a shame if Chucks garbage offensive playcalling lost this game for the defense
I actually didn’t mind that drive that much even if we blew a great opportunity, the outside run and swing screen weren’t bad concepts. It’s the rest of the game that makes me pull my hair out.
I’d be happy to see this game come down to a kicking duel.
In fairness one was an int in the end zone
but we are not converting 3rd downs at all and they are almost all 3rd and 5 or less
The problem I saw with the 3rd down play is OU knew it was coming when Reynolds lined up in the backfield. Too predictable
Chase Daniel also called for Miami to go for it on 4th down. Earlier by the goal line, Clay Matvick suggested Miami might kick it on 4th down (even before the penalty).
Again, one broadcaster has seen Miami football multiple times and the other one hasn’t.
Chuck is chucking
Another dominant performance out of the offensive line. How is Patton still employed. 70 and 74 both need sat.
Chuck got gun shy after the goal line stand. 3rd and 2 have to try the read play. Maybe you get a 4th and 1 and oh yea Chuck is gun shy.
Chase Daniels has a point.
We’ve taken two shots this half already? One was missed and the other Finn didn’t throw because it wasn’t there.
Yep. Our line nor many other lines can hold blocks long enough to be consistently effective. Sometimes yep. Occasionally yep. Time after time, nope. Can sometimes we break one- Tracy could. Quicker and right at them. Under center at times. Roll out the QB.
I like to think it’s the reverse of the first time Michael Reghi got to call a Mike Leach game.
Kinda wish the commentators would say what they are thinking instead of waiting.
‘I was wondering when they would go outside as all they’ve done is go up the middle’. Does this mean A- poor in game adjustment, B- the offense is predictable, C- if it doesn’t work don’t keep doing it, D- all the above or F- Chuck was sly and is setting them up for 2.5 quarters to run outside?
This is reminding me – unpleasantly – of the infamous 1989 game that ended in a 22-22 tie after both Tim Rose and Cleve Bryant played it safe to run out the clock in the fourth quarter. Neither were coaching in this rivalry the following year.
As good as our defense has been, we aren’t going to beat Navarro and this offense scoring single digits. We need to get something going before they do.
We really should be up at least 10 right now.
Another missed hold on their OL. Though the refs have basically let both teams play tonight.
