Terrible 3rd down success which has been an MO of Chuck the last few years in key games.
Finn not looking to run after surveying the passing options and not finding anything.
Totally agree. He is costing us two yards on these plays. And if you arent getting rushed you dont have to throw it 30 yards out of bounds
He’s a totally different player than he was at Toledo. I know he had injury issues and maybe the staff has coached him to not take contact, but its clear he is avoiding it on these runs/scrambles. He never lowers the shoulder anymore like he used to in years past.
Seems to me that was an opportunity for Finn to run and at least get a few yards to let us decide to go for it on 4th down.
Are we allowed to throw to our backs?
I like how Navarro is quick with his decisions to throw
His shiftiness reminds me of Finn in the 2023 MACC, when we got a ton of pressure in him all game but never sacked him.

OK O, lets get some points for the defense
I don’t know if the DL coach is different this year or changed something, but we’re doing a lot better this year going after the QB arm to force fumbles. Already saw it pay dividends last week against WMU.
