South Dakota State is #2 and they play at Ball State on December 1.
Last year Ball State had a great season, being undefeated in the MAC until late in the season, but then lost twice in the last few weeks to finish 2nd to Toledo and got upset by Kent in the conference semifinals and lost in the third round of the WNIT, for a disappointing end to the year. They started 5 juniors last year. One of them left in the portal and they picked up a guard from Eastern Michigan ( Lachelle Austin) who averaged 10ppg last season. So far they are undefeated.
