Guy, you called me out. The part where you told me to cool the brakes on optimism. Thus, I owe you nothing save a good shat in your hat for not believing. Now, stop pestering me as I’m watching Not Without My Daughter 2 starring Paul Shore as Sally Field’s daughter. It’s not good, but it’s better than being a downer.
Love it. Get your ass to Cleveland and I’ll hand you my hat after we win the MAC tournament.
Half that tops. Lower bowl alone is 6200 I believe and was half or a little more than half full. Barely anyone in the upper bowl. UC in ‘21 was a true 6-7k
I would love that. Hardest part of living so far away is not going. I tell anyone if you can make it you gotta try.
Damn how cool would that be if we won it all…
Would be cool. And Dayton for the play in game would be like a home game.
Can you imagine the amount of program celebrity that would be there. Ron Harper would have to come. Wally. Ira. Wayne. The old coaches and assistants. Former players who live close by. We might draw a colossal amount from bandwagon fans. That is the wish I will make.
We haven’t won a MAC quarterfinal game since 2010. Advancing to the MAC semis this year would be a huge step forward for the program.
My college coach used to say “experience is overrated”. I don’t know if I 100% agree but by March the notion of freshmen is long over so maybe we can? I’m a realist in that first we gotta get there so let’s finish the season strong.
I think I want to agree with both of you.
We are doing a lot of things much better and have a lot of promise, but a 250+ ranking leaves a lot of room for improvement, so my brakes are also pumped.
I’d love to be in Cleveland for the MAC finals (though certainly not counting on it); I’m not sure if I’m looking forward to seeing you poo in his hat. But I’m certainly 100% interested in hearing Michael Reghi’s call on the cap crap.
As my late great Uncle Al used to say “just win, baby!”
And that’s the truth. We gotta win a lot more just to get in.
While I think we’re definitely getting better over the past two years and I feel there is optimism for the future, Ive seen the Davidson, St Bonaventure, Georgia State and Central Michigan outcomes and that gives me pause to think we’ve actually turned the corner enough to be competitive beyond the first game in the MACC tournament.
If we can keep the new guys and add a few more over the next two years, I think we can be a force again. But I’d like to see us consistently be in the top 100 in the rankings in order to be able to play post season every year.
I actually know someone from Murcia, Spain.
He meant 'Murica. Possibly many of our posters are too young to remember Earl Pitts?
Winner!
Quinoa knew exactly what he meant. I enjoyed his response.
Lord have murci!
Pitts off!
