If our one loss is to Akron in the MAC title game, our seed should be the same as if we were undefeated. A single quad 2 loss would not change the seeding of any other team in the bracket, why should it hurt ours?

The craziest part was the exact scenario was a 1 point loss to Akron in OT by a bad call

If they have us as one of the last four in after an undefeated season and a loss in the MAC title game then I would say it’s in our best interest if we win out because one regular season loss might be too much to come back from in the event we don’t win in Cleveland. Absolutely crazy but appears that way. Just win, baby.
Hypothetically, no half-assed major conference team should want anything to do with a 33-1 Miami team playing forty miles from campus and showing up looking like this.
But for now, let’s focus on squashing some BUGS.

Gonna say Miami maxxes out at 20 on Monday. I’m good with that. First time in my life I’ll have seen MU MBB as an AP Top 20 team.

I’d be inclined to agree with you BUT this week:
- #16 UNC loses to NR NCST
- #18 SLU loses to NR Rhode Island
- #19 Vandy loses to NR Mizzou
- #20 Arkansas loses to #25 Alabama
- #21 Louisville loses to NR SMU
- #22 MIAMI defeats BUGS
- #23 BYU loses to #4 Arizona
- #24 Wisconsin loses to NR Ohio State
- #25 Alabama defeats #20 Arkansas
So, I think Miami and Alabama have to move up, and the AP will be generous and give Miami a move up 2 whole spots!
I just see Miami and then a a bunch of losers.

#19 Vandy loses to NR Tennessee
I’m thinking maybe Miami gets as high as #19? Hoping?
But I’d be good with Miami as a Top 20 team. Something psychologically satisfying about that.
I really dont think we would move ahead of Vanderbilt - but lets hope
Vandy lost twice this week, both to unranked opponents. We will jump them. They may fall out of the Top 25.

Top 20 is a lock and a real chance we get to #18.
There is no world that UC hires Steele. He has the Xavier stink on him. There is a non zero chance that Miller stays anyway. He has had a decent run of games lately. I think the only real risk is UD hiring him. Steele has plenty of money though and already failed at the higher levels. He stays at Miami and we are probably naming a court after him or something. Maybe dominating the MAC and getting near deity status in Oxford works for him. His wife has more money than he will ever make even if he coaches in the NBA.

I dont know anything but I am way more worried about UC than Dayton. UC plays in a major conference that will get maybe 8 teams in the tournament and might win it all. Dayton plays in a tougher conference than the MAC but really a 1-2 bid league
