Any new hoops Arena updates?

Come on Moll - don’t pull the Wool(over)folks eyes.

I dunno, does anyone have some extra Xerox stock to cover the overage?

Hey, not meant as a diss, but the Allstate Arena used to be the Rosemont Horizon and, well, let’s just say that its roof is well known.

Also, the Allstate Arena has some of the tightest leg room… makes flying Spirit Airlines seem like a luxury experience!

Yeah I have been there and to say the legroom is limited is putting it mildly.

Oh I will.

I will!!!

(No one ever says they will after you say “if you will”)

But I will!!!

We’ll find out suder or later.

Unfortunately true on both counts. Thankfully Wolves tickets in the first five-ish rows are padded folding chairs that don’t suck. The roof will be a part of the arena’s legacy for as long as it lives though…

If the rendering is anywhere close to what it will look like that is awesome

@Davearama is going to hate it! Looks like Las Vegas on Cook Field.

We need a red brick arena!

That clock tower in the middle looks corny. Maybe better integrated into the building. I know there’s one on cook now so maybe it has to stay? Odd.

lets hope that is a really rough draft first rendering. yikes. the arena looks proportionally absurd to the space and surrounding structures, the clock tower is odd as noted, what’s with the brick panels on the arena, can you say density? back to the drawing board folks…

Agree on the clock Tower…looks completely out of place there. I suspect these are very speculative renderings.

Even the arena looks off. It’s gotta be charming AF if it’s got no seats. It’ll get there but the architects gotta dial that shit up.

Pulley Tower is at the very corner of the plot, so it makes no sense that it would be shown as centrally located. I assume this rendering is just a doodle with little to no connection to what the actual plans/designs will look like.

Yeah, a quick Google Maps measure shows from the side of the street pavement to the actual tower itself is 150 feet, so unless they are moving the tower or Patterson Ave, it won’t be as shown in that image.

I’m assuming that is just early concept art, and the concept is modern, red bricks, and keeping the tower.

I know architecture is personal taste, but I’m on board with the concept shown of modern glass with red bricks and finding a way to integrate Pulley into the plaza outside. Excited to see the actual design.

Man the outrage online (read Miamis Instagram comments) against the new arena is so bizarre. No one pretended to care about cook field until 5 minutes ago. I’m also convinced this is the loud minority. Also it’s not like they are getting rid of rec fields, there will be one where millett is now, it will probably be better too

Is this just early concept art, or is the plan to block Patterson and/or 73? Because the tower being where it is makes the building placement impossible.
