Another site update

Just did another update to the site and figured it was worth sharing some metrics again, this time over a one year window. tl;dr Miami success leads to more page views

Surprised how many anonymous users there are. I thought there was just one @Lurker

=>What is DAU/MAU @JiveHawk?

I know my sophomore Miami son is a lurker

Daily/Monthly Active Users

What Phil said. Adding, it’s the ratio of monthly active users who are also daily active users. Two thirds of monthly MHT users are on here daily. If I remember correctly from my previous days of running forums, anything over 20% is considered a healthy community. 66% is somewhat unheard of.

Lurker: a “penny for your thoughts” on our prospects for signing Steele to a new deal and retaining most of our returning stars?

Sorry, just saw this.

Though I’m a hockey guy, I have heard of a competitive sport where guys and gals throw an orange ball through a hula hoop. Put a gun to my head? OK, well, my totally uneducated opinion is he stays. Signing stars? Better odds than the average MAC school. I know…I’ve wow’d you all with this deep analysis.

I think you’re leaving money on the table here. Me? I would create different versions of Lurker (ie: basketball Lurker, softball Lurker) and franchise them out to various fans who want in. I’m no expert but I would imagine “cross country lurker” or even “women’s beach volleyball lurker” go for big money. Now, I know what you’re thinking. We don’t even have beach volleyball as a sport. But you’re not thinking. Because other schools do. This franchise angle is huge.

I thought the women’s beach volleyball lurker got 8-10 in Lebanon correctional?

Oh? I had no idea but that’s the thing about franchising. Quality control matters. That’s why the Scottish Fusion restaurant (McDonald’s) went out of biz near me. Great location but horrible food. How is that possible? Those places never seem to fail.
