Why doesn’t the other Miami have an “(FL)” after it? Come on! If we have to have (OH), then they need (FL) or just make us Miami and them (FL) as we are the original.

No new AP poll this week. We got a vote in the Coaches’ Poll.
The OH is self inflicted punishment. Our guidance to media used to and still may instruct them to refer to us as Miami Ohio. The Miami FL school does not provide guidance to be called Miami Florida. Miami OH just sounds awful to the ear and is a branding mistake. Perhaps HawksVox can clarify.

Much of the blame lies with the late great Doug Wilson, who led the backlash at the use of Miami of Ohio as an identifier for the University.
