I don’t think they were getting an invite anyways

Does the NIT count as “lower tier”?

No, they said they would participate in the men’s NIT or women’s BIT

0-25 Mississippi Valley State also says it won’t be playing in any lower-tier postseason tournaments.

Fairly presumptuous.

To steal a bit from Jon Rothstein:

February

DEFINITELY NOT TOD KOWALCZYK

I think it makes a lot of sense, the other lower tournaments are mostly pay to play, with minimal fan interest/media exposure or athlete interest.

If a team has been bad for a while and has a better season, but doesn’t make the NCAA/NIT, I think it can still be a decent reward, but in general, eh

I wonder what Sac State is doing!

They won’t be hosting any games in their 1000 seat gym.

St Louis down 3 in the final minute against Rhode Island.

Wow it’s almost like winning road games in conference, even against teams in the middle, is tough no matter who you are.

State beat the ever-lovin’ snot out of the Heels, and their students didn’t even rush the floor. Nice work, Wuffies.

Two straight losses for Heels after beating Duke.

UNC doesn’t need any excuse,s but they were missing their best player.

#21 Louisville also lost tonight. Top 20 Miami?
