Way too many Ohio counties being claimed by Michigan and Buffalo.
No undefeated teams lose yesterday or today. Tomorrow we will have one lose as CBU play Colorado
I guess Belmont could still lose but they are up 14
Only analytic that matters: 0 losses.
Lets have a gentlemen’s agreement not to look at the NET this year.
Only reason I am somewhat interested is I believe we should be higher in it than in KenPom
Initial NET Release. As Dan predicted, the NET likes Miami’s tough schedule this year
42 Akron
87 Buffalo
108 Miami
111 BG
150 Toledo
157 Kent St
170 EMU
208 UMass
257 NIU
285 CMU
287 Ohio
292 WMU

MAC as whole

MAC Top 6 (Akron, UB, Miami, BG, Toledo, Kent):
0-3 Quad 1, 0-2 Quad 2, 9-3 Quad 3, 23-0 Quad 4

This is both terrifying and encouraging. The MAC is actually looking halfway decent this year.
Also, every unbeaten team is in the top 70 except Buffalo and Miami.
UC at 154 is amazing.
Wright St 169
UNC Ash 210
Old Dominion 241
Mercyhurst 268
Air Force 286
UNC Green 306
EKU 314
Maine 322
Pine Bluff 335
I think it’s theoretically possible that the Wright State game could become a quad 2 opportunity? Is it still 75-150 for road games?
Q2 is up to 135 on the road, so not happening. Wright is gonna drop though once they get into league play, so I’d expect them to land somewhere closer to 200. Will end up a Q3 game.
Very interesting MAC stats:
Avg NET of entire conference: 191.8 (16th, sitting between WAC and CUSA)
Avg NET of each conference’s best 6 teams: 109.2 (11th, sitting between MVC and CAA)
As I’ve always said, half our league is a top quality mid-major league. The other half is a total anchor on the league.
16 is bad but better than last year
Buffalo receives a single vote in the AP poll for the second week in a row
Unsurprising Miamis record so far consists of:
Q1: 0-0
Q2: 0-0
Q3: 0-0
Q4: 5-0
At least next year, we shed NIU (257).
Are they joining the Horizon in hoops?
All sports other than football
Izzo retiring after the season.
Just saw a stat on Yahoo that is chilling as their writers like to say.
There were 378 matchups this November between high-majors and non-Gonzaga teams from other conferences. The little guy won only 22 of them. That’s a winning percentage of 5.82%. That does not bode well for the future.
