2026 Transfer Portal (MIAMI NEWS ONLY)

I think it would be 2 more seasons if wins an appeal - this is his Junior season & he played in 12 games.

We hope for two more years. We’ll see. He would qualify under Trump’s EO.

I’ve lurked - no offense to Lurker. Figure that’s more the role of a parent. People say nice things about your kid. People say not so nice things about your kid. Best to say on the sideline. I watched the whole Billy Smith debacle.

But Evan is committed to Travis and Miami, even if that reduces his NIL leverage. We value a Miami degree. We value loyalty to Travis. Love and honor.

Back to lurking. No offense to Lurker.

Is Travis staying?

Evan is an absolute warrior. He’s gonna do well in this world.

I think so. School should up assistant budget and NIL. I don’t think it’s about Travis (at all) for reasons that have been explained. But I need to go back to lurking. It’s not my place to comment beyond my son’s commitment to Miami.

One tidbit that didn’t make my Boals thread was Boals telling his company that the EO won’t hold up. I didn’t previously mention it because it was quite obviously just his opinion. How educated of an opinion is hard to say.

This is probably my favorite series of sentences in MHT history. Several rounds of drinks on me before our game in Vegas.

Can someone remind me of what the Billy smith debacle was?

I meant was there more than just not nice things said about him/a parent getting involved?

I actually really liked Billy, and enjoyed seeing him and Suder post pictures from their time together at Bellarmine supporting each other

There are 3 open jobs right now all low major. Where is he gonna go?

To My2sons- great posts- total class act family- best to Evan in his recovery!

Hard to fault kids entering transfer portal. With Evan and Skally, that’s a very solid 1-2 core. I know we’ll get additional players from TP. Could see Kirby being one of the best in the MAC next year along with the two aforementioned players. Still have rotational/break-out pieces amongst those three.

Definitely need to pour more money into NIL/coaches though.

Vegas? What’d I miss?

He had a family member who was an active poster on here. It got uncomfortable as he and the team were struggling.

Nothing makes me happier than to hear Evan and Luke are staying! Evan is my favorite player on this team! And great board name!

ON3 has Brant Byers ranked as their 89th overall player if I am reading their rankings correctly, and 12th ranked SF.

Oh geez, I forgot about that. It was rather awkward.
