I was hoping for White Sox/Pope Leo vs. the Padres. It would have been a true holy war.

Go Rays! Small ball is alive and well.

Definitely rooting for Rays, but wouldn’t mind the Tribe getting in either!

Guards pitchers struck out 40 in the last two games, 21 last night in Game 5 is the new record for a nine inning playoff game. The old record was the 19 in Game 4.

21 strikeouts by the Sox were a nine-inning game record, not just the playoffs. They were out there the past few games trying to play hero ball against a pitching staff that finally got it together.

Guardians/Rays will be interesting since they have similar play styles but TB is just better at the small ball/strong pitching approach on paper.

José Ramírez is on fire!! :fire:

As a Rays fan, I obviously don’t get to see much of the Guardians but I was impressed last night. A lot of foul balls drove up Rasmussen pitch count and once they got him out of the game they feasted on the Rays bullpen. They look like they may match up with the Rays pitching wise and have more power. Tonight’s game is key.

Cleveland might actually be a combination of good enough and hot enough to win the whole fuckin’ thing.

After the first two games against the Sox were a bust I figured they were toast. But if Ramirez and some of the other power bats in the lineup are hot they’ve got a decent chance, their pitching and defense are more than capable of bottling up the Rays and NL champs.

The Brewers look for real even if I’m not counting out the Dodgers until they’re officially out. Ohtani was clearly brought back too early, he needs to be benched.

Guards Ball, baby. Halpin’s bat flip was epic.

Hitting homers is tough. There should be more bat flips. Korean leagues are kings of it.

Happy LA got bounched

433 million and as AC/DC says they were shot down in flames

Ohtani did hit a homer. Definitely hurting though.

The LA team is aging real fast. Almost their entire starting lineup is over 30. Hoping this is the end of their dominance, but afraid that if the new CBA doesn’t limit them they will just replenish
