Interesting. There’s a lot going on. What is EDSBS?
EveryDayShouldBeSaturday (EDSBS) was a college football(ish) blog run by Spencer Hall, Holly Anderson, and a handful of other contributors. It developed a reputation for being quite funny, highly literate, and home to an exceptionally loyal audience.
Spencer worked in refugee resettlement before he turned sports-writing into his full time job, and he started the Charity Bowl years ago to raise funds for the agency he worked for in Atlanta. It has grown massively over the years; they now raise over a million dollars annually. It’s a clever way to make a fundraising drive fun, and people like to participate.

TLDR. Make a donation as it relates to your college football team. Bonus for uniqueness and talking trash to a rival…
Examples: $21.12 donation in honor of Miami beating LSU, $66.6 Hello Marshall, $46.16 for Miami’s record vs Kent. Or a basketball twist $18.00 for perfect MAC record. $32.20 for the record. etc
For those interested, beyond the fun football-related concept, you also may want to know more about New American Pathways. Their website gives a good summary of what they do, and their annual report is easily accessible if you are the sort of person who likes to understand such things before making a donation.
And if I remember, Spencer had a pretty specific complementary call-out for this board back in the day….

We’re now #1 in the MAC, creeping close to top 50. Someone was worried about the momentum around here at some point in the last month.
We are inevitable, will not be stopped.
I gave to commemorate our 31-0 MBB regular season. Thinking I’ll continue with a few donations for football players who immigrated to the US (or whose parents did)
