6-9 Center Alan Horton plays at St. Frances de Sales (Toledo)
MIAMI COMMIT
Wonderful! Welcome aboard!
Well, hopefully he’s better than his distant cousin Tim, ‘cuz that dude put up nothin’ but… (I’ll see myself out. Sorry.)
EDIT: Actually Tim was known to be a pretty good dunker.
This guy has been very well coached and has the most developed post game of any big man recruit we have had in memory. His left hand finishes are very impressive. I see no reason why he can’t be a successful rotation guy immediately. No idea about his defensive development or his perimeter shooting but he runs the court well and catches the ball well and had a fully developed post game.
What class is Horton- what are his stats? Also height/ weight? Who else recruited him- I could not find this info - perhaps missed it
Harris Teeter just started carrying Tim’s Dark Toast in NC!
BG, KSU, Toledo, Towson offers.
High school team was at recent Miami team camp. D2 Honorable Mention all state.
Is Yellow writing chyron captions?
I would love that gig. I would avoid the exclamation point as it’s amateur and wrecks most comedy, but I digress.
I think a lot of high 3-star/4-star bigs are starting to realize it might be better to start off mid-major for a little less NIL $$$, AND PLAY, then later move up if the opportunity is there, than start off on the bench and/or out of the rotation for a year or two at a bigger school.
That’s starting to show some in MAC recruiting. His offers were mid-major solid, but do wonder what kept the likes of A-10 and Mo-Valley schools from sniffing around.
Their loss, Miami’s gain.
