He already has a 7 footer coming.

What’s your point? 1 7’ is good, 2 is great. He’s never shied away from having multiple, and has a pretty good record on developing them.

after the announcement I could hear Painter changing his pants all the way in NYC

Quick count shows 8/17 MAC players currently in the portal are from teams that fired their coach. Most of the rest are relatively nondescript player, save for Blyden who might command the most value of anyone in the MAC (certainly of underclassmen).

I suspect the list will grow by 3x once the portal officially opens and the carousel starts turning in earnest.

Not surprised. I anticipate everyone else returns, but we shall see.

He already has one in Jacobsen. He’s getting another in the Chinese dude coming in 2027. It’d be cool if they had 3 7 footers on the court at once, but I don’t think that’s happening.

Good luck kiddo! Just work on your free throws and be happy where you land

Hope he see what’s out there and decides to come back to Oxford.

FWIW - Brant shot 78.5% from the line this year. 84.2% in February and March. I’d say he’s doing just fine from the line.

Brant overall might have done fine, but he seemed to struggle the final few games when the shots mattered most.

17/20 from the line in our last 4 games. Increased his free throw trips literally 3X over last year and led the team in attempts and makes. It’s not a huge deal - he’s in the portal. But a 78+% free throw shooter who leads the team in attempts is great.

Bit surprised about Fisher. Teammates from Reynoldsburg (Columbus, OH) are joining OU next season. Think one former teammate may be going to UT.

I really think Elmer comes back to MU. Only question mark to me is Skally. But I anticipate he’ll be back as well. Always thought Byers was gone for a number of reasons.

Rayvon Griffith of Kent and formerly of UC is in the portal. Former teammate of Eian at Cincinnati Taft.

Not really a portal entry but a MAC level player who has been released from his NLI. Michigan Gatorade player of the year. Also - interesting comment about Westerns new staff.

Was the highest rated MAC basketball commit this year, top 260 on 247.

And he went to the 3rd worst school based on results. Odd. But that’s how it goes. I think we are gonna land a couple stars. Not him. But you’ll see.

Oh god please don’t tell me Jaxon Pardon is Brandon Pardon’s son
