I promised myself I would watch the NCAA play-in game against SMU before this season started. What a thrill to see it again. It was a great summation of a magical season and how much fun it was to see a “team” come together. It also made me realize how much we need to replace this season; the loss of Suder, Elmer, Byers, and Perry are huge.
But I trust in Coach Steele, and the returning team. Atlason will be our leading scorer, Woolfolk will bust it up inside, Kirby will step up, Ipsaro and Skaljac will frustrate the opposition-- the pieces are all there.
We won’t be 32-0. But I think we can win the conference and make the show. Whatever happens, I will be there.

College Insider just released their Mid-Major Top 25 preseason poll. This is the closest to a real mid-major poll (coaches vote similar to the AP coaches poll and its been around for almost 30 years).
We play #2, #5 and #11 in our non-conference, so very different schedule from last year.
Oh…and people may like to see who’s #1, to bury the lead. No idea how this season actually goes but still surreal to be here.

I don’t think we’re the #1 MM, but that’s cool to see. Where is GCU? Is the Mountain West not considered mid-major?
Edit: Oh, I see. Also, this is the first I’ve heard of the United Athletic Conference.
I think you may be ice cold about the iceman. He is fantastic, but leading scorer? That may be too hot of a take for the man of ice.
