ESPN listing Toledo as a G5 contender and UB/OU as G5 with upside. We’re in the solid/decent tier with BG and NIU, not unreasonable but let’s screw ‘em and run it back to Detroit.
Two of the three guys on the BBOC Action Network think Ohio is overpriced this season. They like Toledo and possibly UB but don’t trust Candle. They trust Martin to focus on the MAC but think our schedule is brutal to both start and end the season. They don’t like us facing Ohio, Toledo and Buffalo all in a 15 day stretch.

Why are people taking Buffalo seriously? Didn’t they lose both of their totally accurate 400 tackle linebackers?

One is gone. One is back. I’m assuming it’s because they retained most of their roster. Also added a QB who people seem to be excited about. I’m skeptical though.
If only they had multi year contracts that would be possible…

Red Murdock is still there. So he’ll be able to get 36,000 tackles this year.
I think the wild card this season is Dequan Finn. Maybe the first real dual threat QB we have had. At least the most effective. Accurate passer and dynamic running the ball. If Chuck turns him loose we could score a lot of points.

Pretty sure he’s now the active leader in career touchdowns. That’s not insignificant, injury or not.

Hey, does anyone in this universe know when the UNLV game is scheduled to start? It’s become sort of important to us.
The normally release the first 3 weeks before the season. This is week 4 (game 3 for us I know) so it likely will be decided 12 days from kickoff or Sept 8th
