Does anyone on this site have updated info as to whether Bia Jobe ( DL ) and Payton Kirkland(OL) have actually transferred to Miami ? Our OL and DL are the biggest question marks going into the season and these are two important transfers. Is there anyone in our sports information department - if we have such a department - that can answer the question?
Thanks. guess my eyesight is failing now too.
Kirkland is not on the team. Boi Jobe is. Roster on the website will be updated soon to show that.
any rumblings out there on why Kirkland didn’t work out?
Kirkland probably transferred to Costco.
Thats too bad - even at the May Cleveland coach Martin event coaches were still hopeful that he would make it. I dont know why it didnt happen
I didn’t ask who I spoke to about the roster why Kirkland isn’t coming. Things happen, things change. Plethora of reasons why could be possible. Hopefully he otherwise found what he was looking for.
Here is the roster which now includes Bai Jobe.

A sign of the times. We now have 20 players on our roster who started their college careers somewhere besides Miami. CM does a solid job of assimilating them into the Miami culture.
Great point. I think a lot of that success is because they focus on portal guys who they already had recruited or had a good relationship with, so not starting from scratch in such a whirlwind recruiting environment that the portal has become.
Just a guess, but I bet if you look at the rosters of all 134 FBS teams, the overall mean number of players who started their college football players elsewhere is probably greater than 20.
The Athletic came out with a tiered ranking of projected starting QBs for 2025. Finn is in tier 5 and #72 overall, a few spots behind Ohio and Toledo QBs.
Not sure how Finn struggled. Had decent stats and looked good in the two games he played. Can’t really judge him based upon sustaining an injury.
Has Chuck given any hints on how we’ll adjust the scheme with Finn? We haven’t seen a true dual thread QB under Chuck; Ragland and healthy Gabbert were semi-mobile but not nearly as elusive, while Aveon didn’t exactly have the best arm or pocket presence.
Idk if Finn is worse than Navarro and definitely not worse than Gleason
Gleason should be automatically knocked down at least two spots for having the worst tattoos that I’ve ever seen on an athlete. It looks like a toddler drew his arm sleeve.
Danny Zarco who was redshirted as a freshman OL last year will be making a return trip to Oxford, as he has transferred to Lindenwood University who plays at Miami this year.
I drove by an exit in St.Charles Mo. this week and they had a Lindenwood University sign.
Lindenwood is in St. Charles, MO, suburb of St. Louis. For an urban campus, they have done a nice job with it.
Moneyline has us as 17.5 dogs vs Wisconsin. O/U is 41.5.
