Not if you focus on RBs and WRs early… then you’re thankful for people who take QBs in the second round. ![]()
Sometimes. But when closely reviewing the “opportunity cost” of not drafting a wr or rb in that example, and comparing to the projected points of the league’s top point-getter (potentially), I would do it again.
Also, which was easy to miss, I also had the next pick after taking a qb since the snake draft gave me two picks in a row. And I did take a rb with that pick. That’s important.
What about if you draft in say 11th out of 14 and the good players get taken 8-9 picks ahead of you and the computer gives your draft a D-. Do you get any extra sympathy points like a golf handicap might work?
To quote your first word from your reply: Sometimes. Sometimes basically works for any fantasy football scenario. It’s all a crapshoot. And It’s all personal preference anyway but for purely selfish purposes, I encourage as many other people as possible to draft QBs as early as possible
Yahoo grades…You can ignore them!
Yahoo, for example, dings owners for drafting legitimate IR players and not drafting a kicker.
“That’s important” as it relates to the conversation. It may or may not be important to completely different draft scenarios, settings and size of league.
I won a league once by drafting a kicker (Janikowski) first. People laughed at me but that year he put up insane points and was basically like having a WR. I also got lucky on the waiver wire.
Happy for you, and glad I didn’t finish last!
After back-to-back titles, and rallying from a 2-6 record, I’ll take 2nd place this year.
And…Only NINE moves!
I had the most points allowed in the league. Should’ve played better defense I guess ![]()
True. But you did have one of the better team names.
