Shots donât always fall. Kids donât always do your bidding when you want them to butâŚwe winning this. So pop the lude.

Agree. We started ice cold and built some momentum as the half went on, I donât think Kent can ride Sullinger the to a win unless someone else on their team steps up.

Theyâre playing decent ball, but not cut-down-the-nets ball. From my perspective, they left a lot on the table with sloppy ball-handling and poor footwork in the defensive post, which isnât good since both MAC semifinals tonight have been ref shows. If they can do a better job of taking care of the ball in the second half and clean up their post defense, theyâll be fine. Kent has been focused on stopping Craft from going off, but if they pivot to slowing down Suder, Kam should get some cleaner looks.

Weâre doing some good things. And there are things to improve on.
The good starts with our effort on the boards again. They only had 2 offensive rebounds. Weâre doing a good job against Davis, showing double with the right defenders and walling up against him. If he makes elbow jumpers, fine. We were better against Sullinger as the half went on. The first 3s were inexcusable. The 4th 3 with the pushoff, nothing you could do there. Woolfolk made a great jump out on him denying him a shot. Thatâs the play. Kent is doing a good job running tight double staggered screens or a low screen to free him up. Our big needs to jump it so our guard can get out there. Nothing you could do about the Medley 3, that was well defended.
Offensively, more patience again. The looks we got early were fine, but at some point, the guys should look for higher percentage shots so they can see one go in. Then work back outside. I like Suder in the post against their smaller guards. I liked the Elmer mid-range pullup. His last 2 3 attempts werenât good shots. Potter is rushing to get his 3 off, a couple of those werenât good shots. When we reversed the ball, we had some more success. Kent is doing a good job hedging hard on the high pick and roll, and theyâre clogging the lane on the big guy slipping. Letâs see if we run some more set plays and our double elbow V pick stuff to change it up some.
And keep our poise. Itâs going to be a tightly fought game. Weâve got to hang in there.
