Wild, this was going to be our wr1/wr2 during the spring before injury. He looked different. Coach Martin does a great job of finding players that fit his mold. No one is bigger than the team. If they don’t buy in, they are gone.

Hopefully we will get an announcement of our portal class , which HS recruits are early enrollees and our current roster shortly - a lot of missing information at present
We had a qb quit before the biggest game of the year last year. I might wait a year before bragging about our culture
The guy quit because he was a head case. Has nothing to do with the culture.

He was an outlier and a risk worth taking. Would be worth taking again–just not on that guy and do a better job of vetting.

Toledo did tell them that the guy had some issues, but it was worth taking the risk

Our portal class last year added very little to the program - hopefully significantly better results this year- we also just lost a number of good players to the portal and had a number of high school recruits decommitted. We also lost some good coaches. The current coaching staff ( and players )have a lot of work to do .

I disagree. Although DQ quit, he was the best option at QB because of his ability to scramble. He’s one of the main reasons we beat WMU at home, helping us ultimately, get to Detroit. In a perfect world he doesn’t lose his mind and quit but I thought he played well for the price once we got into MAC play.
YagerYardBoss - I get your point but he was not there for the MAC Championship or our Bowl game - I agree he helped beat WMU in regular season but not much of a contributor at Wisconsin or Rutgers and hurt v UNLV- who else from last year’s portal class provided any significant benefit to last season? We need to do better.

Did glass Jr change mind on transferring
IMO I think Keith Reynolds, Bai Jobe, James Schott, Koy Beasley and Austin Uke were great pickups for us for the 2025 season but I understand what you are saying.

YageryardBoss - I agree re Reynolds and Beasley - Jobe and Schott on the margins - maybe this coming year they further develop So maybe 2 plus Finn made signficant contributions. We will need to do better to stay competitive- BTW I am concerned re the DL - we do not seem to be able find players in the portal for the DL

He actually quit on us during the Ohio game. We wasn’t giving it 100% - stepping out of bounds early, not fighting for extra yards, etc. some of us noticed it during the game and mentioned it on the board.
