Temporary hijack. Mel lived the next street over from my late grandfather in Pacific Palisades (Chapala Drive). Incredibly nice guy. They were good buddies.

My grandfather’s house didn’t survive. I don’t think Mel’s house survived either. I heard that only the 600 block of Chapala Drive is still there.
