Referees: G Gervin, E Boykins, and C Batch.

Random thoughts: We lose by 10, and we also had 10 less free throws…Amazingly, EMU had 10 more turnovers than us (18-8)…Williams and Landis strong off the bench.

I can’t imagine watching Eli for 4 years and deciding to play him over Harrison. Harrison should be getting 25 minutes/game from here on out.

Why does White start?

I had lunch with @DICK before the women’s game today but he ruined it when he informed me that McNamara has another year of eligibility.

But did he buy?

Was Earl Boykins the ref? I loved watching him play at EMU and in the league.

Boykins and Derrick Dial—what a backcourt they were!

Ben Braun was a hot young coach then. He went to Cal after that and I expected he’d make deep runs in the tourney. Didn’t play out that way although I think he got them to the sweet 16 at Cal.
Quick edit: also won an NIT there.

Braun is a good guy. Too bad the Rice gig didn’t work out. Tough task though.
