I see UNCW in both polls. They are in the CAA, which is locked into a terrible TV agreement with FLOWSPORTs. But their athletics department has been stepping it up around the Wilmington area. In September they had rallies in a number of communities in the three county area. My honey is a UNCW Seahawk. They held one in the parking lot of one of the community centers in our neighborhood. I went to it. They gave away craft beer and Pork BBQ sliders. Sammy Seahawk was there with several cheerleaders. They gave away schedules to all fall and winter sports and signed people for the Seahawk Club. It was fairly well attended in a community full of transplants. A nice way to tap casual local interest!
