Prediction Thursday - Miami vs Central

Miami 24
CMU 17

Miami 31
C Minus University 13

I don’t think we’ll be challenged, but it won’t be a true blowout either.

30-6 after 3 quarters Miami and the coaching staff has a new vision and Brett and Mozee do not play in the 4th - 2 and some 3 team players gets lots of reps and H Henson gets to run our offense for a multiple series of plays- I wake up the next morning even more enthused about the future of Miami football

College Football 25 Prediction:

Central Michigan 13
Miami 31

Welcome to the game, Kevin Davis. He was one of the 700 new players added to the game in this week’s update, so the RB corps is now complete.

Things started off poorly. On the 5th play of the game, CMU hit a deep (and insanely high) throw for a 64-yard TD. From that point on, though, it was all Miami. The RedHawks scored on all 5 possessions in the first half. Brett Gabbert hit Javon Tracy for a 17-yard score to tie it and Dom Dzioban hit a chip shot field late in the first to grab the 10-7 lead. The second quarter was a beatdown as Gabbert’s 18-yard scoring strike to Dylan Downing was sandwiched in between short TD runs by Keyon Mozee and Jordan Brunson.

Playing to Coach Martin’s style, the second half was all about draining the clock. The only mistake was a red zone pick as I hit the wrong button. Cade McDonald was wide open for a TD but instead the ball went to Tracy over the middle and was picked off. CMU scored on the following possession but Silas Walters made a phenomenal tackle while covering a drag route to keep the ball short of the goal line and prevent the 2-point conversion.

CMU…7 0 0 6 13
MIA….10 21 0 0 31

Gabbert finished the game 17/23 for 206 yards (he only had 5 yards in the second half) with 2 TDs and the interception. Mozee had 102 yards, Downing had 90. The leading receiver was Reggie Virgil, who has just 37 yards (9 guys had at least one reception).

Oh, and Miami’s defense completely obliterated CMU’s ground game. CMU’s Marion Lukes had 9 carries for… 0 yards. Matt Salopek and Brian Ugwu each had a sack. As a result, CMU finished with -16 yards rushing. Yes, negative 16 yards. The only CMU player who had a productive day was WR Stephan Bracey Jr. who had 158 yards and the two scores. Caleb Tubbs’ interception was the lone turnover forced by Miami.

27-10 Miami…after 3 quarters and CM goes with Hesson and other backups finally accepting the likelihood of the backups being successful getting game experience with a “three score lead.” Miami finally closes out the game 34-20. Good guys win…and cover the spread. Everyone wins.
