Maybe we can get a few past the new guy while he’s cold
We’ve been season ticket holders for over 25 years. So many times these last 10 years we’ve been so tempted to give them up because we dreaded going, knowing not only were we not going to win, we wouldn’t even score! But we suffered and stuck with it. This year, for the first time in YEARS, has been fun and hopeful. Tonight’s game has me doubting again. Someone please tell me that soon Miami will be, not just a league contender, but a national contender again. Lie to me.

I can’t lie to you because I don’t think it’s a lie. This was year two of a massive down to the studs overhaul rebuild. The players that return next year will have grown and our incoming class is adding lots of talent as well.
This is only the beginning!

They battled to the bitter end against one of the best teams in college hockey, on their home ice, at altitude. This team is night and day better than any of the past nine teams in every way (well, except maybe the power play).
The incoming class includes two of the top five scorers in the USHL and a probable second- or third-round pick on defense.
I’m not sure why this game would suddenly have you doubting the program again.

They won 18 games this year. 15 more than last year. Huge turn around. Finishing last 10 yrs in a row it wasn’t gonna be quick. I’m surprised we won 18 games. I was right on saying we would finish 7th in the league.

Congratulations to everyone associated with this year’s team! What a turnaround. It was amazing getting to see Miami win the Bellpot Trophy in Belfast. Matteo Drobek came out of nowhere and performed admirably. The students and fans turned out to support the team! Looking for continuing success for a program that is back to being relevant on the college hockey stage!

And we had a good chance to finish 4-5th. 6 times as many wins as last year. MANY droughts/negative streaks ended. A belpot trophy. In and out of the top 20 rankings all season.. With 21 new players who decided to take a chance on Miami. There’s so much to be proud of this group for. Even though they won’t go down as the most decorated or successful team in Miami history they will be one of my favorites for being the group that started the turnaround and got us out of the gutter. There’s a reason our coach is a finalist for NCHC Coach of the year. Respect for our program has been restored

Rome wasn’t built in a day as they say. In year two Travis Steele’s team wasn’t even at .500 and look at them now😁

DU just won the championship game in second overtime. Feels not as bad to have been taken out by them I guess😅
