I have always wondered about the geography knowledge of those who set up East and West teams in All Star games like these.

Utah State in East and Yale in West?

I originally saw Suder on the West and Tre Carroll from Xavier on the east and thought the dividing line must by I-75.

geographic logic doesn’t apply to these games, fill a team, try to make it even

Suder gets the on-court interview before the game.

A Miami fan is also in the front row behind the East bench.

I just turned this on for 30 seconds and this is an abomination to basketball that makes NBA all-star games look like the Final Four.

Suder scored his first 2 points right before the half. West is up at the half. Defense is not needed in this game, obviously. I did find it appropriate that he picked up the first foul of the game. Even in a game in which no one is attempting to defend, he still didn’t give up an uncontested layup.

The halftime promotion paired 2 fans with 2 players and the pairs squaring off in a 3-point contest, with the winning fan advancing try to hit 3 from beyond the arc in 30 seconds.

The problem is the emcee went up to the wrong fan and told him he won. Fantastic live television.

Suder finished with 7 points on 3/7 from the field. West won by a bunch. Of course his team won.
