I do love that I can identify the exact play (score included) that Pete is making in that picture.
The loss of Suder next year will be profound, but a good opportunuty for those returning to step up. Looking forward to next season.
Did not get drafted
Use it as fuel, Pete.
Twitter is saying Suder signed with the Lakers.
Two way deal
The Lakers did not have a 2nd round pick. If he makes the squad, there will be at least one Lakers jersey in the greater Boston area in the near future.
He should make Deandre Ayton give him #5 since Ayton is hot garbage.
Two-Way Contract
- The Deal: A contract that pays a flat rate (half the NBA rookie minimum) and allows a player to split their time between the NBA team and its G League affiliate.
- Why it’s highly desirable: For most UDFAs, this is the realistic “gold standard.” It guarantees a substantial six-figure salary, gives you up to 50 games of NBA active eligibility, and offers the team an easy mechanism to convert your deal into a standard contract if you perform well in practice or during call-ups.
This tracks all the players signing various contracts, who were not drafted. The only other MAC players so far is Adrian Patterson from EMU and he is signing a much lesser contract than the 2 way contract Peter signed.
After Suder, the most important name on that list is Bettiol. Good. Go get paid in Europe, big man. Stay away from college basketball for the rest of time.
Congrats to Pete! He could be the next Alex Caruso!
Pretty good spot if he can manage to pick LeBrons brain a bit.
Okay, I’ll say it. Wouldn’t the new 5-year age 19 rule affect the 36-year-old Bettiol?
Since he is signing a 2 way contract, Suder gets half the rookie minimum. I don’t know if that is for 2026 or 2027. For 2026 he will make $636,435. If it is a 2027 contract he will make $712,994! Not too shabby!!
