From some of the numbers I saw, doesn’t look like he had a particularly good testing day. Hoping things turn around in scrimmages today!

We listed him at 6’5". Guess we used a different measuring scale!

this would be us listing players in shoes. Combine measures without.

Honestly, we probably put whatever the player wants like most schools do

And here is one person’s analysis by position of what scores I guess are considered good:

Not especially surprised at all that Suder’s combine numbers aren’t impressive. I don’t think anyone sees him as an athletic freak where his physical attributes are a major part of his game. Its everything he does outside of his physicality that makes him a special player.

Nobody is going to give Suder a shot at an NBA roster based on measurables. His shot is based on being on one of the headiest players I’ve ever seen at the collegiate level. At Portsmouth, he looked just athletic enough to get to his spots and create offense for himself and others against other pro or near-pro level talent. The question is whether he can defend well enough not to get targeted by NBA-level offenses. And even if doesn’t get NBA offers, he seems to be showing well enough to set up attractive European opportunities.

A good comparable here might be Michael Bramos. He was too much of a 'tweener to get a shot domestically but played fourteen years of professional ball overseas, including using his Greek ancestry to become a member of that national team. That’s a really nice career.

I agree on physical/athletic measurables. He didn’t shoot well, which is something we will need to be good at

His greatest asset is that he plays “winning basketball”. Hard to measure that in drills.

He was 43% from three last year. Granted on relatively low volume, but shooting should not be what holds him back.

Suder dropped 27 on Tennessee and did very well at Portsmouth. It’s not like he became a bad player overnight.

He was never a guy who was going to test well. You have to see him play. The winning plays. The playmaking. The effort. The shot making ability. Especially the playmaking. He’s a point guard in the NBA and did a lot of point guard type things for this team (Led the team in assists two years ago and was second this year) and being a backup point guard who can come in and run the offense for ten minutes a game is how he gets to and stays in the league.

Suders team playing on ESPN2 right now.

Probably Bruce Pearl, Jeff Boals, TheMan2, and Buffalo’s coach

Just watched about 10 minutes of game with Pete on the floor. Got to his right hand step back once, didn’t fall but he was able to get a clean look. He’s obviously surrounded by insane athletes but it’s not like he looks out of place out there.

He belongs. He is not over his head. Measurables be damned! I just posted them for anyone interested.

Pete is not going to be for everyone, that’s fine. Just takes one. Not a great showing in scrimmage #1, but playing with guys who dgaf about anyone but themselves isn’t going to be where Pete thrives. Glad he took 8 shots and got to the FT line
