Western scores late and will beat Rice. 28-14 Broncs w about 2 minutes left. WMU still undefeated…oh, yeah I forget we can’t count the win over Michigan. Guess they are 2-1.
I don’t think rice is that good and I still am not overly impressed by WMU even with the Michigan game. The way they played against Michigan isn’t gonna work against g6 teams
UConn beat USM 48-20. Golden Eagles scored a late touchdown with about a minute to play.
That last Rice TD with 8 seconds left on a 4th and 6 cost me my bet against the spread on Draft Kings.
USC squeaks by Rutgers?
New Mexico in a dogfight at Oklahoma.
Yep. I feel your pain. Had WMU -7.5. Ah well. Broke even today.
They are just all waiting to get to MAC play and they’ll be fine ![]()
UC up 7 going into the 4th against Kansas state. Man would that win have been sweet
Scarecats score again to go up 31-20 w under 4 minutes left.
Holy Cross won today.
Michigan, at home, loses on a TD pass with TWO SECONDS left on the clock! Sweet.
Bucks give up too many yards but win easily. Houser is VERY good.
“The game is not over.” How fitting.

Yesterday Pitt won easy vs fcs
Holy cross won their first game
UC had an upset win over Ksu
And Southern Miss (who U conn beat by 4 tds) lost to Tulane by only 3
Paging AAC…
Pitt move to 5-0 after VT miss a field goal at the end of regulation. Pitt played almost the entire second half without their qb
Northwestern randomly went to a flexbone option offense over the offseason, and it’s working. It’s is kinda hilarious given that it’s (1) the competent alter ego of Treadwell and (2) it’s led by Chip Kelly.
Chip Kelly can call a run-heavy offense like no one’s business
I was at the Northwestern game with my Northwestern grad daughter to open up the new stadium. Will drive to Oxford today for the football double header.
Northwestern running game was crazy good- over 400 yards rushing. It was fun to see in today’s era of pass happy offenses.
The new stadium is impressive. $800 million and good planning gets you a great venue. Different sport but I would hope the architects for our new basketball arena would take a look. “The Wall” where one end zone was standing only and close to the field was packed with students and the band. Students had a great time and stayed the entire game.
On the interior concourse they had a 12 x 40 foot picture of NU in the Rose Bowl in 1995, celebrating their Big 10 championship. Listed were their scores from that season games, with Miami victory in game two displayed prominently.
100%, but I didn’t have an academy-esq option on my bingo card. I thought the NCAA nerfed that by changing OL blocking penalty rules when GT was becoming a force.
Maryland’s current* basketball venue has a 35-degree angle student “wall” that is designed to hold about 4000 students and keep the volume loud. A smaller version of that might be suitable in Oxford.
- I was about to refer to it as the “new” arena and then realized that the Xfinity Center has been open for over twenty years. Charlie Coles took Miami there to open the place for the Terps’ first home game in it. But I still miss Cole Field House. That was a classic basketball barn.
