Only 6 Remain-The Undefeated!

Penn St within 1 of Michigan with a minute to go.

PSU had the ball with the shot clock off and a chance to win, but ran one of the worst possessions you’ll ever see. Michigan escapes. Still stuck at 6.

These undefeated teams are lucky. Eventually they’ll fall!

I have no idea how old you are, but it’s actuarily likely you weren’t alive when IU went undefeated. So, yes, thank you for your insight :joy:

5 star teammate in my book

Agree 100%. He’s vocal and one of the most supportive players on the bench. Usually the first guy off the bench right after a TO coming onto the court supporting his team. Love it. Every team needs this kind of guy. It shows a lot of character as I’m sure it has been tough seeing his PT diminish since his first year.

  • Arizona: Road game against UCF next Saturday, but the big test is @ BYU on 1/26.
  • Iowa St: Huge road game against Kansas on Tuesday. If they win that one, it would take a major upset for them to lose before mid February.
  • Vanderbilt: Next three games are @ Texas, vs Florida, @ Arkansas. Would be very surprised if they make it through that.
  • Nebraska: Will be favored in every game until @ Michigan on 1/27, but I could see them being upset in one of those games.

Based on my math, the odds Miami wins out in the regular season (based on ESPN’s win probability) is 2.51%. We are favored to win every remaining game with the lowest odds are at Kent State (58.2% win probability) and at UMass (58.4% win probability)

Question is if they finish undefeated during league play, but don’t win the MAC Tournament, is this the year two MAC teams make it in? I bet that still only the tournament champion would make it, although I hope not.

Shame Evan is out. Need Perry and Kirby to continue improving.

It may or may not (probably not) actually sway the committee, but if we get through Buffalo the public relations campaign needs to start. Miami’s socials should be tweeting/instagraming/every other social posting that we don’t have any quad 1 wins because none of them would play us. Could have 30+ wins with only quad 2 losses (if they happen). We need to try to influence the narrative of how we are viewed. Get at least one CBB talking head (aside from Wally) on our side. Don’t let the Rothstein types shit on us all year without any rebuttal.

Maybe just win the title and not worry about it.

I think a 1 or 2 loss Miami team would make the Big Dance.
