Anything but joining a conference. Also I wonder if UConn has the same agreement if not it’s complete bullshit
Ego is a hell of a drug.
This is a load of shit.
Cowards. They don’t want to risk looking stupid like Alabama last year but it’s really against any semblance of competitive spirit. Not that it really matters in 2025 college football.
So Notre Dame basketball is never able to go to the NIT now, right?
This is the dumbest sport. I don’t blame Notre Dame for turning down an ESPN bowl game after the ESPN playoff left them out for Alabama (I think Alabama should’ve been left out IMO). At the same time, a MOU to guarantee a playoff spot if they’re in the top 12 is BS. It summarizes a lot of things happening in other aspects of life. Everybody wants their cake.
That is what I meant when I said this is a load of shit. They shouldn’t be guaranteed a damn thing.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck Notre Dame forever.

We might see Kent state in a bowl
Next year I read that the big conference champions are all guaranteed bids. Duke would have been a worse selection than JMU
If players are going to earn the amount of NIL available at these power programs, then they need to learn that part of being a professional athlete is finishing out the season even when the breaks didn’t go your way.
=>At Miami, the players have contracts. 4 payments contingent on being on team (for basketball anyway.
But I assume same for football - someone correct me if I am wrong). 4 payments over the season. Not calendar quarterly. If you flunk out or got thrown off you don’t get paid - is how I understand it.
Can we play in two bowls?
I mean, Snoop would understand having an extra bowl . . .
