Northwestern Wildcats Game Thread

This secondary is weak compared to last season.

Our DBs are horrible so far. But to be fair little pass rush either.

Maybe it is about time for Chuck to look at that Ipad

I am turning into Captain Obvious, but I am not seeing much today that has me enthused about our team. No pressure on their QB, weak OL run blocking, soft pass coverage, poor decision making on kickoff returns, lousy running by Mozee, and Gabbert (perhaps understandably) a tad hesitant on some key plays.

Pretty sure we can’t come back from 2 scores down. Have to remember Brett has not been in game action for awhile. Also remember we have also always played soft corners in coverage.

Been a while since I’ve seen a game with Calvin Johnson playing receiver for one team and Andre Johnson playing receiver for the other team.

Team was overhyped this year…I know it is first game but do not look as sharp or confident as last year

Our offense needs a transfusion to correct the anemic performance.

Northwestern went 8-5 last year and brought most of their team back. We’re playing a good BIG team.

They seem to be going after Luke Evans a lot

If offense could get some points, our D is hanging in there.

Luke Evans, playing CB, is a R-FR.

Rats. The hype train is getting derailed.

So far a better first game of the season than the last two years

I’d be shocked if we score a TD (barring a short field perhaps from a TO), but perhaps Brett can get hot the next series. And for God’s sake, do not run Mozee into the middle of the line! What does he do in practice to make the coaches think he is a power runner???

Get one quick TD and see where it goes from there.

Get the ball out of Gabbert’s hand quickly. Dowling and Brunson only at RB.
