Prolly 2 players short to win the league this year but wow, much improved.

We have developed a bad trend of collapsing late in the game vs top competition. I think the best teams we have played this season are Ball State, Buffalo, and Purdue. We were right with those teams or ahead but then got drilled in the last 6 or 7 minutes. In all 3 of those games I thought we had well planned and executed game plans but eventually the opposition figured it out or the oppositions stars just took over. Something for the staff to think about. We did seem to lose confidence in those games. We have, however, won 3 or 4 tight games which went down to the wire. In those games we were probably the more talented team.
To me we seem to be a year away from matching up with the MAC’s best. Coach Box has pointed all year to being there by tournament time as he also sees this team as a work in progress. Much progress has been made. Still a ways to go. 9-19 last year to 10-6 this year.
