Mr. Obvious says…In the last few years there have been a whole heckuva lot of games like this weekend, where with 5 minutes remaining Miami lead by 1 or was tied, and ended up with losses. Very refreshing to see the team finishing strong.

Proof will be in the pudding as the season goes on and we have to get into conference play, but two regulation wins to start the season is nice.

I know Ferris was only projected for something like 7th in the CCHA in the preseason poll, but to come out and get a sweep like this has to be such a huge confidence booster for this team! Let’s hope it builds on itself right into NCHC conference play!

Exciting start for the season. Definitely played with high intensity and looks to be a promising team.
Any word on David Deputy? Exited early in the first game going straight back to the locker room with what looked to be a shoulder or clavicle injury.
Any info on Gadzhiev? Did not dress for either game and was touted as being our #1 goalie. Still dealing with eligibility issues?

Yeah for Gadzhiev they mentioned a couple times on the broadcast they are working with the NCAA, hoping he can play soon
If you were watching on NCHCtv you could see Shika at the end of both games hyping up the team as they were leaving the ice. I think he even kissed Drobac last night😂 He’s quite a character and extremely supportive of his teammates even when not playing. Just beaming with excitement
He was sitting in the student section at one point Friday! He’s definitely an interesting dude.
