I agree, Iāve never understood the gray. Is there a particular significance with the gray color that I am missing? Some connection to the university? I love the idea of wearing red especially during Maction when the whole country is watching us but the school seems adamantly opposed to it.

College teams started following the NFL lead several years ago with those alternative uniforms. Eagles and Redskins have a black uniform. Gray seems to be a third choice for several college and pro teams. Definitely good for jersey sales in NFL and some colleges. Iām a traditional kind of guy. Red jersey white pants white helmet. Hell I would even want the gray face mask back!

I do have a conflict - I want to wear a gray Miami alumni sweatshirt though I agree that I donāt care for the gray uniforms.

With ohio beat Buffalo we clinch today east right we are up two games on ohio
No, weāre only up 1 game. Actually at this point (after OUās win last night and before our game tonight) weāre technically up half a game. Weāre 4-1 in MAC play and theyāre currently 4-2. Even if we beat Akron, we could still lose to UB and Ball State, which means we would be 5-3 in conference play. If that happens and OU wins its final two games, the Bobcats would win the East with a 6-2 record.
Basically: we canāt clinch tonight regardless of what happens. If we win tonight, the earliest we could clinch is next week with either a win vs. UB or an Ohio loss vs. CMU.
Just win tonight. Win at OHIO last game was huge. Loss to the Zips would erase that good felling.
Theyāre not beating us. Weāre going to bully them. Zippy is going to ride out of town on The Wagon Wheel with his(?) tail between his(?) legs.
Akron gave up 390 yds rushing to NIU & 240 yds rushing to BG. Hopefully this turns into another hame like Delaware State where our reserve backs can get carries

The line is at 16.5 on FanDuel. I think thatās actually down just a little from where it opened. I would need to see another week of our offense before feeling super comfortable laying that much. I think weāll win, but it might be a 17-10 type game

Since losing Irons, akron has either kept their games within a TD or gotten absolutely annihilated. Plus a win against Kent last week. Iād agree that its hard to predict but I feel we should we able to cover based on our defense

ESPNās matchup indicator gives us a 93.8% chance of winning tonight. Granted, that indicator is meaningless. But itās funny that weāre at 93.8% considering the U was only at 91% heading into our game. For the record UC was 90.5% prior to kickoff for the Bell.
