A rather disjointed lackluster 3rd quarter for Miami. Again much like the men started the second half last night. 63-49 heading to the 4th quarter. Miami outscored 24-15 in third quarter. Tretter with 21, Singer with 8. Obviously need a good start to the 4th quarter.
This is eerily similar to last night’s game.
Tretter misses two straight free throws to win the fans free tacos. Much like tacos, we’re also getting cooked by a latina right now.
Miami wins 78-60 to move to 14-1 MAC and 23-5 overall! Tretter with another double double with 25 points and 13 boards. Singer 11 points 6 boards, and 8 assists. Scalia 11 points.

Miami wins the 4th quarter 15-11
Ovalle hit a 3 to move to 21 points on the first play of the 4th quarter. We only let her even attempt two more shots the rest of the game (one of which was a desperation heave at the end) and EMU as a team only scored 11 in the 4th quarter. Great defensive adjustment to shut down what was working and hold the lead even as our shots stopped falling.

I mentioned her a few times in the thread but if we can get the type of play Emily Vantimmeren gave us against EMU the rest of the way, that will be a big plus. Good D and had 6 points and 2 rebounds in 6 minutes of court time. By far her best game of the year on both ends of the court.
The bench gave us 16 points and 6 rebounds. That’s a significant contribution.
