Game 1 today not starting well. Ohio with a grand slam with nobody out in the top of the first. 4-0 Bobcats to start things off.
Miami has tied it up at 4-4
Miami battled all the way and took an 8-7 lead into the top of 7. Then three walks and two errors gave Ohio a 13-8 lead. Wheels came off in the 7th again today. Game 3 of the series later this afternoon.
RedHawks salvage a piece of the three game series with an 8-5 win in Game 3.

14-1 win against Toledo in game 1 of the series
I watched the last few innings. Loved the Toledo broadcasters crying that Miami recruits nationally and only has one player from Ohio.
Miami up 9-1 top 4 in game 2
Miami wins in 5 innings 9-1. No hitter. Sweep the doubleheader. Miami now 29-12, 11-6 conference play.

In watching this year’s team, I’ve drawn four conclusions. 1 We’re younger. 2 We don’t have a single dominant pitcher but we’ve got three capable ones. 3. We don’t have the power hitters we’ve had in past seasons. 4 Nevertheless, we’re still a pretty good mid-major program. Keep it going!
Huge sweep in Toledo. 11-0 final today. Gave Toledo just two runs all weekend.

Unlike years past where our pitchers threw a lot of strikeouts, this years staff is more pitch to contact.

Toledo mostly had very weak contact. Ball had just enough movement.

Miami plays Purdue today at 5pm ET at Miami. Purdue is 26-15 so a very solid P4 team.
