Major change in Women's basketball roster

Even if we matched it Megan was not staying over an offer from Marquette. Her goal is to be the HC at Notre Dame one day. Marquette is a great stepping stone for that. As for marketing, girls deserve marketing just like men’s sports. Women’s basketball could make some money or at least bring positive attention to Miami. As far as the hire after her, it was not well done. There was an assistant at Duke who was available. And from the midwest.

Vannessa Garrelts is now playing at Canisius.

If we move on from Hendrix, I would suggest reaching out to Wanisha Smith to see if she wants to get back into coaching. From Fairfield, Ohio, she was an assistant at Duke for several years (until just last year) and before that Longwood and Towson. Played for Duke then the Detroit Liberty. She is only 37. And as stated, from the Cincinnati area.

Heck, go bring back the former MU coach who is at MSU. Never understood why she left. She had recently won a MAC championship. She likely makes a good check up in Lansing though so maybe a moot point.

We managed to get home games against Cincinnati in 2016 and 2018. They scheduled one game for noon on a Tuesday and they scheduled the other game for the Wednesday of finals week. Neither game received any special promotion.
