Miami is alone in first in the MAC. No way OU should be ahead of them, but they play 11/4 so this will be answered on the field. With a Miami win!
For some reason Vaninni jumped Ohio way overtop of Miami in the CBSS 136 after last weekend’s games. Settle it with Bricks!
Ohio is ahead of us because they are most likely better. That doesn’t mean we can’t beat them, but OU has:
•A higher Sagarin ranking
•A higher FPI ranking
•A win over a (albeit not very good) P4 team.
•Played much better against Rutgers than we did.
And they are OU so fuck them!
and lost to Ball State
CFB Home Nails it!
My MAC Power Rankings:
1. Miami OH 2. Ohio 3. Central Michigan 4. Western Michigan 5. Buffalo 6. Toledo 7. NIU 8. Ball State 9. Akron 10. Kent State 11. Bowling Green 12. Eastern Michigan 13. UMass
Statistically Toledo is better than OU and should be a concern, but let’s get by OU first. Similar to WMU, OU is extremely well coached. I dislike them but respect their game.
What is also similar to WMU is OU has OL and DL that are overall on the lighter side. Although statistically OU has the best OL in the MAC.
Contain Navarro! Make them try to beat us with Bangura.
Look at Toledo away vs Toledo home. Night and day
No one believes that. Not even the finest meth-heads in SE Ohio.
When the line opens in a couple days my guess is that OU will be favored by 5.5. I suspect that a lot of us will by happy to take Miami in pick the underdog!![]()
OU will be the best offense we’ve faced since UNLV. By a fairly wide margin.
Statistically, where they’ve been a little weaker than the past few years is on defense.
5.5 point dogs to a team that lost to Ball State and was down at half to the LIMU Emus? I think not.
They lost to BSU and struggled against EMU. While we didn’t destroy EMU we simply just got complacent with a lead, OU trailed most of the game
Will it be though? They didn’t look good against terrible WVU, BSU, and EMU
Yeah watching their games the MO seems to be racking up a lot of yards, but not necessarily points. I do think it will be our biggest test defensively in MAC play. Navarro, the RB and Chase Hendricks are all really good.
Navarro throws a lot of picks
Gonna throw a lot more with Trick and Jobe slamming his ass into the turf!
