Is it just me or has UNT’s play calling become obvious. Dare I say “Litterell”. (Did you see how effortlessly I just did that? And yes, my dog coincidentally?? farted right after I wrote the joke, but that’s not important.) #effortless!

Probably because our defense is playing more Sterling than you would expect. And you see what I did there.

Overall a strong half. Need to continue a strong run game to keep the pressure off the Brett/Jack combo since pass protection has been an issue, otherwise stay aggressive because we know what our offense looks like when Martin goes into lead protection mode. Defense did a decent job of bend but don’t break against their run game but playing way too soft on the receivers in coverage, we need to clamp on 3rd down and force some punts so we can have some nice long scoring drives that kill the clock.
So is CM 30 minutes away from his first FBS OOC win?

This opening possession is a damned important one- a TD will give us lots of leverage.

I honestly think he deserves, because he’s caught it in the endzone, much like a RB need to just break line…but ball is not secure when his shoulder rolls out IMO.
That said…wish we threw to this kid in Kent game…and should throw to him all day long in redzone!

With all these injuries we’ve had some young guys really step up today. Now let’s force a punt and score another TD to make it a twenty point lead. Passing isn’t NT’s DNA, they’re a run team that’s done okay throigh the air today (INTs notwithstanding) partially because we’re playing lax coverage.
