8-3 don’t call it a comeback
Miami wins the 3rd period as Brett miller doesn’t allow a goal.
If you break the periods down it goes
1 - Tie
1 - WMU
1 - Miami
Unfortunately the final score is 8-3
Yeah if you take out the whole second period we won the game!!
I know that most of this is just some “gallows humor”, but man not sure how you faithful hockey fans keep it together after the last two seasons. Just brutal.
Who ever thought Miami Hockey would be the anchor to the athletic department
On a good note for the anti-faceoffs matter truthers we actually won more faceoffs than the other team for the first time in a LOOONG time
But also just watching some of WMUs goals will tell you that there were pivotal ones we did not win directly leading to our failure… felt like they’d drop the puck and it was already in the back of our net
Two seasons? What you talkin bout, Willis. This is nine losing seasons in a row and under three different coaches. At some point, one has to consider that 2004 to 2015 were the aberration for this program, and the last decade has been a return to the program’s historical norm.
Well, although bad, we used to win once in awhile over those ten years…the last two years we hardly have a win in the conference and get blown out almost every game.
Huh? First of all it is impossible to expect that basketball and hockey’s schedules wont overlap. Second of all basketball and hockey have different fan bases. And finally why wouldnt we want to promote a team that is fun and winning. Hockey is having the worst year in the history of the nchc- who wants to come see them get their brains beat every night
Your points are well made.
I took mine down.
I’m apparently suffering from wtfH syndrome.
Hope the Miami hoops team make a great run.
I normally don’t post on hockey, but was once a season ticket holder until covid. Went to road games, FroFour in Detroit. The ‘why’ is constantly picked over, but I think it goes back to when Rico couldn’t get any more AAAs from Columbus. If Roslovic had stayed another year, I don’t know. But B1G came into existence, and OSU started keeping the locals, and that was really it. We talk about hockey tradition here, but it was really just Cady, Korn, and Rico. Players and coaches and money are what its going to take, especially if were going to stay in the NCHC. Look at Michigan State back when Anastas was coaching; good lord were they ass. Number 2 in the nation now. I know that juniors in MI is different from OH, but still. If we can get a guy that can sign Great Lakes talent and a few Canadians, get these rich Farmer grads to kick in, we can get back in it.
Nick Donato not being recognized as a senior tonight- with the year he took off I’d bet he has an extra year of eligibility…will he be back

GOAAAL
Starting it off with a bang tonight…Dukovac with the PPG just under 3 min in!
1-1
1-1…but it’s okay!
Seems we want to play the whole game a man down
WHAT THE HELL
OMG. Fire whoever hit the lights prematurely there.
NCHC refs hate us
