Central Michigan

They have their whole roster they beat Michigan with

And now we act like babies

Yes or no Jive-they are missing key players and we are at full strength?

I expect more from our senior point guard. Too much dribbling, poor shot selection, and too much immaturity. Not just because he just got a T, but over the last 2 years, he takes offense to any bump and he talks whenever he gets the chance. Just play.

Omg save the dramatics and clutch pearls. I’m happy they’re still fighting. He played horrible, but I’m glad they’re still gonna play a whole game.

Edit: and I mean the dramatics from the whole game. “This is the worst MAC game I’ve ever seen”

Then you don’t watch much MAC basketball

MZ well said.

I don’t care, but you need to back it up. He didn’t back it up today. He hardly showed up today at all.

You can’t argue with the defensive effort tonight, even some pack line principles showed up while watching the game live, so that’s encouraging. But offensively, ballhandling is a weakness. Our offense works best when it’s a couple of dribbles, pass and cut and put that on repeat. How many times did we dribble more than a few times, pass, maybe cut, then pull the ball out and start over? The movement needs to be endless. We shouldn’t rely on a pass to trigger cutting action. Cut, cut, and then cut some more. If we tried to make in-game adjustments, they weren’t effective and/or we didn’t execute.

Holy shit. That was the worst basketball game I’ve ever seen on both sides…. That includes Cooper, Owens, and everything else I’ve seen.

Sloppy. Horrible shot selection. No plan or execution. SHAMEFUL

That was horrific in every measurable way.

I blame Owens for most of this- he didnt get it done recruiting. He had a chance but once Adaway transferred it started going dowhill

But all of his teams had better players than this years team. I cant wait for next year when we add 5 potential upgrades.

We are ranked in the 290s in Ken Pom. That has to be the worst in Miami history. CMU is in the 250s. And the teams played awful tonight. It was a terrible game.

We shot 5 of 27 on three- most of them fairly open.

We had many turnovers that were completely unforced- so did they

Down the stretch we kept fouling the only guy on their team capable of making a free throw

And I dont know what was “keep fighting” about Lairy waiting until 4 seconds and doing a stupid foul and then getting a tech.

I want Miami to win and I believe Steele is the man to get us back to the top. BUT we are terrible right now

It sounds lame, but I’m at peace with however this year plays out. As long as we are significantly better next year as a result of this campaign.

I mean nothing is as bad as that 8-point half against Dayton

Yes. I was at that game. Horrible.

What year was that? Also, IMO, nothing will be as bad as when we lost to a D3 team when Cooper was coach. That was as bad as I’ve ever felt about men’s hoops. This game wasn’t great, but it’s a long road to the level we can be at. And that’s a giant killer mid major force. I really think we get there faster than people predict.

Not long after that game Miami fell off the UD schedule. It was shameful.

And Dayton was only up 20-8 at the half! How is that even possible? Just unwatchably bad.

Steele needs to be fired and saylor Henderson need an shot Steele was fired at x now we know why

What on earth

I remember a UD fan asking me “What’s wrong with you guys tonight?” and laughing at me and my friend. I replied, “It’s 12-4 with under 4 minutes to go in the first half and UD just crossed into double figures. Nobody’s really shooting ‘lights out’ tonight.”

Then Miami lost 60-23. I can no longer find the box score to that game. When anyone asks me, “Is this the worst game ever?” I would just pull up the box score and let them try to make sense of it all.
