Now, I’m not saying anything… but historically there were certain industries in New York in the 1970s where recreational pharmaceuticals were… let’s say… present. And New York also has a Jewish population. And you mentioned drugs. And this is the internet.
So obviously we need to have a long thread unpacking the deeply troubling subtext of your post!

I don’t have the qualludes per se. It’s quasi medical advice I’m administering. If I had the qualludes I wouldn’t share. Because he who has the ludes makes the rules.

I am Jewish and I interpreted Dakich’s rant as Mollaut did. Loud, stupid but not antisemitic.
All I know is that a thread about Dan Dakich with 34 posts is at least 33 posts too long. Given his downwardly mobile media career, I can go long stretches forgetting he exists and prefer to keep it that way.

The only good thing about Dakich is that he was lucky enough to spend time with a young assistant named Travis Steele for a couple of years in Bloomington.
You are from Ohio and might not get the nuances of his comments. Long Island has one WASPY community, Garden City. It is well-known as the most Jewish county in the country, exampled by all the stereotyped accents and JAP portrayals.
I’m not from Long Island; I live in Westchester and used to live in the Bronx. I believe what he said was motivated by Jew Hatred because it’s in vogue right now and he has proven to be a proud racist.
I know he likes Bruce Pearl but that doesn’t excuse his rants. He never made it as a coach and he comes across as a cranky and angry guy.
New Jersey is more of a mix. Connecticut may be the be the one state in this part of the world that is WASPY. Until the 1970s Jews could not live in Old Greenwich, Darien and New Canaan.

Also, HoosierHawk mentioned quaaludes. There is a scene in Wolf of Wall Street in which Jonah Hill and Leo get fucked up on quaaludes. Jonah Hill is Jewish. Is Hoosierhawk an anti-semite in disguise?
The KKK was huge in Indiana and is still known as one of the most racist states in the US.
