Tbh I feel like Michael Quinn is very underrated/not talked about enough on our team. He may not be as flashy as others but I’m glad he stayed, he’s having a good sophomore year. He was #1 on my wish list of returners from last season. Glad he’s gotten some goals too! He deserves to experience these Miami Ws after last year
edit: VFTG pointed out he’s +10 on the season. Best out of all skaters this year.

I’m sort of a plus-minus hypocrite. I use it to bolster my argument and dismiss it when it doesn’t suit my narrative. 
Hey I’m not biased at all when it comes to Michael Quinn😂 He was -26 to end last season but we’ll ignore that or talk about how much he’s improved after an already strong freshman year. I was so happy for him to score the first goal of the season. I’m glad it was a guy like him.

I’m still team #freeshika but at the same time Drobac is on a roll! He’s on the best goaltender run in recent Miami history. I don’t see how you take out the reigning NCHC goalie of the week/tournament MVP with a 10-4 record to put in a freshman we’ve never seen play at this level at Magness arena.
Although the last time we beat Denver it was with a freshman goalie put in over the sophomore “starter”

I think you ride the hot hand at least for the time being…or at least play them both in tandem. It’s worked for the Avs so far this year!

I know it’s too early for this, but is there a certain point in the year where you just redshirt and get an extra year?

Yeah if Drobac has a rough night Friday (he won’t) then I’d like to see Shika Saturday if he’s available.
If this were football or if he were a skater then I’d think differently about redshirting. I like Motew but if something happened to Drobac and he were unable to play I’d be a little worried. Also I hope this doesn’t happen but I could see Shika possibly leaving early so might as well get as much out of him while we have him. I don’t think Shika would want to redshirt anyways he’s excited and ready to play.
What a good problem to have though having two great goalies on the team and not knowing who should play

Not that we know of. They’re thinking he’ll be cleared either by this series or next series. But yeah if this keeps going and there’s only a handful of games left…

That’s a legitimate question I’ve been thinking about. If he’s not eligible for the CC series I’d be more concerned.
No idea what Noreen would think, but he likes to ride the hot hand and has never shown much interest in rotating.
My thought would be Drobac on Friday regardless and if he dominates, stick with him, otherwise #freeshika.
