I don’t know how these things are scheduled, but shouldn’t we do this when there might be some fans there? I don’t think IU East exhibition game is going to put many asses in the seats in what should be a momentous occasion.

Yes, I am hoping for something to commemorate our undefeated regular season.
Perhaps both coaches didn’t want to distract this year’s teams with last year’s teams in a regular season game? These types of events do mess up pregame routines for both teams that are playing (rings, banners, etc). I understand it from both sides–I’d probably have it on the home opener but that’s me. It does allow for an added home event to attend and get some buzz going for the upcoming season.
