A very good friend and Miamian was at the bball game, spoke to someone in the administration about the arena, and was informed that they had planned to break ground in early January. However, the extreme cold has made digging difficult/impossible.So, we wait for a big thaw–SOON!

I believe the latest news was it still had not been approved, could be wrong though. If not approved they wont be starting anything.

Things are progressing. A contractor friend of mine was providing budget/guidance estimates for his specialty trade to Turner, the construction manager on the project. Prepping for actual hard bids for the various trades.
They may be providing budget items for Turner to bid on the project but I’m fairly sure it has not advanced past the design build stage. The university would have to have a budget and approve funding and neither of those have been confirmed by the BOT.

The announcers back to having severe case of whinerhea. They see offensive fouls we see obvious blocking fouls.
