Baseball is 5-1 after two home series vs Toledo and NIU. Softball is 3-0 after one road series at Kent.
Appelwick tied for 3rd in the NCAA in homers, also old friend zaborowski killing it in the SEC, tied most homers and batting .444 with a 1.647 OPS. Definitely can see him becoming a first round pick
Also with Appelwick we might have a 3rd season in a row of someone challenging the Miami single season home run record

Miami baseball is 78th in RPI. That’s only 3rd in the MAC. The MAC is currently ranked 13th out of 30 conferences. Looks like a good year for the MAC

It is hard to believe MAC baseball could be rated higher than basketball but 13th is pretty good
I think strength of schedule might be carrying it due to hard OOC schedules, but we will see since MAC teams usually still have tough midweek games
The fast start continues with softball sitting at 8-0 in the MAC and baseball at 8-2
