So how many do they let in.

Certainly a limit, no idea the number
In a perfect scenario, Miami lets in those who have tickets. Whether they be paid for general admission or student. But using more reserved seating stops the silliness.
This could get ugly if folks drive in for the 9pm Ohio U game and are told, “You should have gotten here 2 hours ago when the doors opened.” What if the fan paid over $70 for the 4 general admission tickets? They’re out? I’m happy for Miami having this opportunity to fill Millett, but the box office better be able to account for each of those scanned and issued tickets or passes.
I don’t understand the concept of overselling an event. You telling me people can buy GA tickets, drive a couple hours to the game and then be turned away? Do we actually do this? Doesn’t this create ill will?
When the tickets are free (which isnt the case this week except for students) then yes you can assume somE people signed up without using them.
But professor fate is the only one reporting second hand information that people were turned away at NIU. And since the attendance was 10,640 and the seating capacity is 9,200 I find it hard to believe they were turning people away. Their were students sitting in the aisles
I would have to imagine there will be changes for next season, but thinking GA and student ticket allotments would be an issue for multiple games you’d be told off for being a loony. I’m hoping for expanded student risers behind the goal and more designated student standing areas across from the reserved side. I was very impressed with the parking updates we were getting by text for NIU. That was handled very well.
If I was the ticket office I’d be locking in season ticket holders for next year with the last home game, and our MAC tourney allotment. Big advantages for those who buy women’s bball in addition..influx of cash today can help with retention across the board
If they are..that’s great..anybody know?
Final average was 4,685 for the season (2,153 for eleven games through J-term and 10,254 for five games after). Our last four games drew over 42K combined, well above the entire 22-23 and 23-24 seasons.
Is the school setting up any busses to Athens and Cleveland for the students?
