AP TOP 25

And we are up from 238 points to 335 points. A pretty significant jump.

Not shocking sadly.

I take this as a petty move from the coaches on the poll. Extremely jealous of the media attention we are getting and having to watch Steele wear a speedo

Should be higher but just win, baby…

Two 7 loss SEC teams, Bama and Tennessee that weren’t in the top 25 last week, get ranked ahead of us this week. Pretty ridiculous

Here are some comparisons:

In the modern era, even mid-majors that reached 25–0 were generally ranked between No. 3 and No. 8 at worst.

Run it up, Travis. Leave no doubt.

Agree Win big 2 games this week.

I would tell the team besides the goal of winning, the most important goal, the next goal is 100 points every game here on out.

Before we complain too much about Bama and Tennessee’s rankings I would point out that Vegas would have both heavily favored over us on a neutral court.

The coaches poll is useless.

All I can say is thank the lord that the SLU Billikens swim team didn’t inspire the late great Rick Majerus to do the same during his good years.

Rick would’ve done it

Would have needed to sew several speedos together!

Just keep winning….We know what we need to do.

I refuse to let the CJ Moore’s of the world and subjective rankings lessen the impact of this magical season!

I agree with the sentiment and obviously the rankings don’t really mean anything, but also to give voters credit, the subjective voters actually favor us more than any of the objective rankings.

Subjective polls AP and Coaches have us 21 and 25.

Objective Rankings:

RPI (retired) 28

WAB 34

NET 48

EvanMiya 67

Torvik 76

KenPom 84

BPI 84

Anyways, we control our destiny so thankfully we don’t have to care how any person or model ranks us.

I cant believe I miss the old RPI

KenPom has never liked us. Is his formula heavily based on SOS?

SoS and also ‘efficiency’ which is basically margin of victory. So our close games against some lower level teams are really what’s holding us back since it’s not the W/L, it’s saying close games are a coin flip and the fact that we won six games by a narrow margin really is treated as if we lost three of those games in the Kenpom.
